"REversion"
Figurative & Portrait Art Exhibition
Super Wonder Gallery
October 9th - 14th 2015
Opening Receptions
Friday Oct 9th 8pm-2pm
Saturday Oct 10th 8pm-2pm
Last night I enjoyed an AWESOME first Opening Reception for "REversion" a Figurative and Portrait Art Exhibition taking place at Super Wonder Gallery in Toronto! It's probably quite obvious that my favourite genre of art is Portraiture. Being in a HUGE gallery filled with beautiful and impressive portraits was literally amazing! It was so wonderful to see how each artist stood out with their unique style even though we all capture the same genre. Seeing my work up among the greatest talents in this city and within my field was very inspiring. It opened my eyes to the fact that I truly have developed my own unique style over the years and that my work does stand out. What people mention most often is my fine detail which requires a lot of time and is something I am very proud of. On a person level it was also really wonderful to meet some artists I had only previously known online and talk with some other artists whom I had met but hadn't had the chance to really have a deep convo with. Among them are Ramona Nordal, Eryk Harvie, Andres Silvera, Daniel Anaka (also the curator of the exhibit), and Alexandria Karakis. I couldn't help but take MANY photos of this exhibit so I hope you enjoy them! :D
