On Thursday March 06, 2014 Plan Canada's Because I Am A Girl initiative launched their new children's book "Everyday Is Malala Day". In order to promote the book and celebrate International Women's Day Plan Canada decided to hold an art exhibition entitled "The Malala Effect". 24 local artists were given a page from the book to draw inspiration in order to create an original artwork for the show. I felt so honored to be a part of such an amazing event dedicated to a cause that is very close to my heart; equal rights for girls around the world.

The night ran beautifully with delicious h'ordeuvres, an open bar, and truly inspirational speeches from both the author of the book Rosemary McCarney (CEO and President of Plan Canada) and Lisa LaFlamme (Chief News Anchor and Senior Editor at CTV National News). It was truly a night I will never forget.
I hope you enjoy my photos of the event!
