Recently I was contacted by Caela Maher, the Media and Culture Liaison at TA2 Sound + Music. She had discovered my website, loved my work, and wanted to showcase it at the award winning production company. I was really impressed with the quality and professionalism of their sites and establishment so I was thrilled to agree. Caela had free range to choose from all of my available artwork and she really did a beautiful job of choosing and curating the show. I am one lucky artist! I truly have the best fans and supporters out there. One such fan discovered my work through Etsy and, liking what he saw, decided to offer me a commission I will never forget! He was fond of 1930-40's Pin-Up art as well as the burlesque style and asked if I could combine these ideas into a representation of his beautiful wife. He said he wanted her to look at it and "see her as her inner burlesque queen". I truly believe this project was destined for me. I was made to create it. Not only was it a piece that featured a naturally beautiful woman but one that would celebrate her beauty and make her feel special. How many husbands are this adoring? I was touched. 

My lovely patron sent me many photos of his beautiful wife so that I could gain an understanding of her facial features and shape. Using a variety of resources I created this luxurious composition. He absolutely loved it and we decided it would look amazing in a sepia palette. I'm so thrilled with the results and I'm excited to share close up photos of the details! Keep scrolling to see them! 

My Art Featured In LD Henriquez' Poetic Video

When LD Henriquez contacted me to take part in her new masterpiece "Wanderlustful" I was thrilled. She explained her project beautifully and sent me a copy of her poem. I connected with it instantly. To me it expressed my inner desire for travel. For seeing new places, experiencing new cultures, and learning new histories. Travel is something I literally crave and I felt like LD's poem reflected that feeling perfectly and beautifully. Make sure to hit play! The music pics up at 1:20 and really adds to the emotion of the piece. Incredible work LD! You are such a talented woman! :)

Custom Cat Portrait "Grigia"

It had been too long since I'd created a pet portrait. In fact the only other animal portraits I had ever done was another oil painting (one of my very first portraits) back in 2009 and a charcoal drawing in 2010. I knew my skills had grown quite a bit since then so I was excited to see what I could do with beautiful Grigia. When Grigia passed away her human parents decided they would like a painting to commemorate her life. Being a fellow cat mama I completely understood and was delighted to capture Grigia; which means "grey" in Italian. Her plush fur took days to layer in but the final results are better than I could have imagined. I'm so thrilled with the results of this piece and am glad that the couple will be happy, remembering their adorable Grigia, when they look at my painting.
